Frequently Asked Questions
How Long Will an Auto Tint Installation Take?
This depends on the complexity of the car, as well as the cleanliness and number of windows. Some installations may take up to
1.5 hours.
What Is the Warranty or Life Span of the Automotive Films?
All of the warranties we provide are manufacturer-backed nationwide. Wherever you are, we are sure that there is a nearby dealer to help you should you have any warranty issues.
The life span of a window film depends on the types of film, glass, and climate. There are documented cases of film lasting 5-10 years or more. However, this should not be assumed to be the normal expected life of automotive window films.
How Dark Are Automotive Window Films?
We have automotive window films available in four main shades or approximate light transmissions: 50%, 35%, 20%, and 5%. The numbers correspond to how much light the film allows in.
The 5% or “limo” tint is the darkest shade. It allows only 5% of the light to pass.
Can Window Films Help the Air-Conditioning Unit of My Vehicle?
Window films can reduce the heat buildup, which means your air-conditioning unit does not have to continuously pump out cool air at a maximum setting. Once a comfort level is reached, it will not be difficult to maintain this level.
Can Auto Films Stop My Interiors from Fading?
No! However, window films can reduce the fading process by up to 80%. With window films installed, less than 5% of the damaging UV rays are transmitted. Varying degrees of heat and visible light are blocked as well.
Do Auto Films Provide Extra Protection for When My Window Gets Broken?
All automotive glass, except for the windshield, is tempered. When it breaks, it shatters into hundreds of tiny pieces.
A window film can hold the little pieces together. If you get in an accident, this will reduce the possibility of human injury and interior damage. It also makes cleanups easier.
How Is the Film Protected from Scratches Caused by Keys and Rings?
Automotive window films are protected with a durable, scratch-resistant coating made of silicone. This coating is designed to protect the film from normal wear and tear. It is also protected from regular cleanings done with a paper towel or soft cloth and mild soapy water.
Will Auto Films Make It Difficult for Me to See at Night?
Depending on what your personal preference is, and what percentage of tint you apply, your visibility will be reduced in varying degrees.
We do not recommend that you put the darkest percentage of window tint on the rear windows of your vehicle if you do a lot of night driving. However, darker tints can help cut the glare of headlights approaching from behind.
